Are the photos on your blog posts getting redundant? Are you bored looking at the same monotonous set of stock photos? Worry no more! For this blog post, I will feature 5 different websites that offer free photos.
1. morguefile
- With more than 350,000 photos, you are sure that morguefile has a wide selection of free photographs.
- Morguefile started in 1996 when Michael Connors established the website as a place for creative professionals. Now, Morguefile remains to be one of the public's favorite free photo website.
- The rules haven't changed because all their photos are still free use whether for personal or commercial purposes. You are free to download and alter the images. The suggested credit note is as follows: Photo by [name] at Morguefile.com.
2. New York Public Library's Digital Collection
- I know what you're thinking. I must have made a mistake, but NYPL has a broad range of digital media files that are all in the public domain.
- The 180,000 files are not solely photos; there are also manuscripts, maps, atlases, posters, and more. The New York Public Library has reiterated that all these items are in the public domain, which means everyone has the freedom use these materials.
- This is your chance to access countless photos and videos that played a huge role in the past. Also, it's an opportunity to learn about New York's rich history.
3. Picjumbo
- Picjumbo is a free photo website, but in case you want an upgrade, you can also avial their Picjumbo Premium.
- Since I am focusing on free sites, let's all aim our attention https://picjumbo.com/. This website is a creation of Viktor Hanacek. All the images can be downloaded and used for commercial purposes.
- You can even use the images in ebooks, PSD files, online articles, and digital presentations. Just don't resell the photos. Mentioning the owner or contributor is not necessary, but every photo credit is highly appreciated.
- The name Free Refe Real Life Photos may seem weird, but it provides high-quality. It's one of my favorite pages on tumblr.
- You can also access their website at http://getrefe.com/downloads/category/free/. There are lots of royalty-free photos for you to choose from.
- New Old Stock specializes in vintage photos. So, if you are looking for a blast from the past, this website will make you remember the not-so-distant past.
- As per the website's rights and usage section, the images are in the public domain. You can use them for personal use only. This includes online articles, blog posts, websites, and personal projects.
